To be Sweet or Not to be Sweet Vanilla Bean Whip Cream
- 16 oz Heavy Whipping Cream
- 1 Vanilla Bean
- 1/4 cup Regular or Vanilla Sugar
Pour the 16 oz container of heavy whipping cream into a mixing bowl and attach wire whisk attachment. (You can use a bowl and hand mixer or whisk by hand if you prefer.)
Cut open your vanilla bean down the middle lengthwise and scrape the caviar of the bean and add it to the heavy whipping cream in your bowl. Store and save the pods for other uses.
Turn your mixer on and beat the cream while adding the ¼ cup of sugar. Add more if you want it sweeter or none at all if you prefer it unsweetened with just the vanilla bean flavor. (You can also use a sugar substitute). Whip cream until almost stiff peaks happen but don't over beat.
