Scallops with Spicy Vanilla Salt


  • 1 lb scallops (thawed if purchased frozen)
  • 2 tbsp vanilla oil
  • 2 tbsp butter (salted or unsalted)
  • Spicy vanilla salt to taste


  1. In a saucepan over medium head add vanilla oil and butter until warmed.

  2. Add scallops, being careful not to crowd the pan and sear them until lightly browned on each side.

  3. Remove from the pan and while they are still hot add spicy vanilla salt to taste.
